OVERVIEW

This course will take your wild swimming experience to the next level. The course is designed to help you become a more capable, confident swimmer in all kinds of natural waters. Whether you're enjoying a swim along the coastline, building confidence in waves, or exploring spots with swift currents and rocky inlets, there's something here for every level of wild swimmer. Led by experienced guides and water safety professionals, this immersive course offers hands-on training in diverse environments, focusing on key skills like current reading, safe entry and exit techniques, breathing control, and decision-making in dynamic conditions. Whether you’re an adventurous beginner or a seasoned swimmer, this course will equip you with the tools to swim smart and stay safe in the wild.

PRICES

Personal skills coaching: evening/half day (3 hours): 1100 NOK. One day course: 1600 NOK. Two days course: 3000NOK.

GRADE

You must be able to swim 200 m on quiet waters to take the course.

GROUP SIZE AND GUIDES

The group is limited to 6 persons with a 1:6 or 1:3 guide ratio depending on the course focus. The instructors are sea and river trained and regcognised by NPF (Norwegian Canoe Association) British Canoeing and the International Sea Kayak Guide Alliance (ISKGA).

LOCATION

Depending on your needs and preferences, we will choose a location for this course.

DURATION

These courses can be organised over 3 hours to 2 days.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

In bad weather, the arranged activity will continue regardless. If the weather conditions are dangerous, the instructor will cancel the activity. If no alternative is found, Norvantur will refund the registration.

SAFETY

Our outdoor activities have a minimal risk to our participants. At Norvantur, we are trained to assess the risks and trained in rescue techniques and first aid. Severe or extreme conditions are not part of our program.

CANCELLATION

In case of cancellation by the participant, we charge cancellation costs. These cancellation costs depend on the number of days remaining until the start of the activity. Participants cannot claim compensation in case of cancellation due to ‘force majeure’. In case of cancellation of the activity by Norvantur, the full registration sum will always be refunded. For safety reasons it may be necessary to change the program during the activity.
